The Supreme Court case continues
(ruling possible Friday but likely Monday)

The new NI proposal is bollocks and Johnson didn't get why until it was discussed in Europe.

There was a press conference in Luxembourg which looks good for Johnson.

Johnsons approval ratings are up.

And we are making no obvious progress to anything but no deal...

Contact your MP and ask where to look, or if they can find the answers for you from govt ministers ?

DGRossetti · 20/09/2019 21:30

He's shit as a SPAD, but he's hot shit at winning referendums

What's the sample size ?

RedToothBrush · 20/09/2019 21:31

Labour Civil War looks fun.

Now they are trying to abolish Tom Watson. Or more precisely the deputy leadership role because they don't like Tom Watson. Apparently this is because he's been disloyal to Jezza.

Or something.

Dickheads the lot of them.

Not seen these videos before. This one’s very funny, but also I was shocked speechless about how appallingly bad Johnson’s speech was. (Didn’t see the whole thing at the time.)
What an idiot.

What has changed since 2016 ?
What safeguards against dirty money, used secretly ?
What safeguards against CA-type data misuse ?
What safeguards against psyops ?
What safeguards against outright lying ?

RedToothBrush · 20/09/2019 21:35

Oh and here are so more dickheads, who clearly want accidental no deal

www.politico.eu/pro/british-meps-urge-juncker-not-to-do-a-deal-with-johnson/
British MEPs urge Juncker not to do a deal with Johnson
Liberal Democrats say British PM has no mandate and UK election could reverse Brexit.

Rob Powell@robpowellnews

The most telling part of this interview with David Cameron:

“I don’t want to say any more as I don’t want to make the situation worse than it is”.
🤬

Labour has finally managed to think up something as mad as the Tories kicking out 21 of their most senior MPs: abolish their rebellious deputy leader, on the eve of a pre-election party conference. Brexit is smashing Britain’s two parties of Government to pieces.

A question for the floor .....
Anyone ?

Simon Nixon@Simon_Nixon

Is Johnson/Cummings/Frost/Barclay operation just out of its depth or taking the piss?
Hard to tell.

Tony Connelly@tconnellyRTE

Officials briefed on the UK "non-papers" as well as the talks between the Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay and EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier,
have described the proposal as a "backward step" and "totally insane"

BigChocFrenzy · 20/09/2019 21:50

"Brexit is smashing Britain’s two parties of Government to pieces."

Showing up the "centre party" LDems as pretty batty & irritating too

BigChocFrenzy · 20/09/2019 21:51

We just have to pick the least batty party with the least damaging policy Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2019 21:53

It's a bit of a Hobson's choice! Politics is dead. Long live politics.

Icantreachthepretzels · 20/09/2019 21:54

Cummings told spad meeting tonight that they would win a second referendum

Does this mean he's going to let us have one?

Now obviously the thought is terrifying on account of the lies, dark money and psy ops he will use in order to win ... but if they pivot to another referendum that does mean we don't leave on 31st of October. And quite frankly I'll take every single extra day before brexit I can get.
(also one would hope the rebel alliance would thwart his new cunning plan by actually putting in some safe guards this time - super majority and/or all 4 countries voting for it. Surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for 'it's only advisory so we don;t need it' twice )

Lewis Goodall@lewis_goodall
Recently it seemed that Corbynistas wanted to take away the Deputy Leader’s automatic right to be acting Leader in event of resignation of the Leader.

Now this.

I wonder.

Clearly part of this is spite and dislike of Watson. I also wonder if it’s about a post-Corbyn world.

Bcf the LDs are showing themselves to be increasingly extreme and have no moderation.

Just as well Scotland still has a (sane) centre-Left party for when it becomes independent - the likelihood of which seems to becoming every greater and closer. Wink

and no, I'm not talking about the LibDems

JeSuisPoulet · 20/09/2019 21:58

I guess a wise farmer would see what Cummings is doing with his own farms...

BigChocFrenzy · 20/09/2019 22:02

How are Scotland's politicians staying comparatively sane on Brexit ?
Envy < Scotland envy >

JeSuisPoulet · 20/09/2019 22:04

LD's don't have a plan for after we Brexit though - they have caught thousands of voters by being Revoke and Remain, ergo they HAVE to go at it guns blazing, even if they appear to have zero chance of being in any position to revoke. After Brexit, well, who knows?

tobee · 20/09/2019 22:07

How many times have I heard over the years that Momentum aren't interested in taking over the Labour Party; that they're just supporting Corbyn. Parasites the fucking lot of them. ERG of Labour.

RedToothBrush · 20/09/2019 22:08

Just as well Scotland still has a (sane) centre-Left party for when it becomes independent

Just to remind you that the SNP believes that being a woman is a feeling all in your head and that lesbians can have dicks, before you get too carried away spouting their virtues as being sane.

Corbynistas talk about Watson as if he wasn't elected.

prettybird · 20/09/2019 22:09

BigChoc - not all of them Wink

But at least the SNP and the Scottish Greens can see light at the end of the tunnel. And by being seen to be reasonable, they'll get out of the madness of FUKD the Brexit UK tunnel more quickly.

RedToothBrush · 20/09/2019 22:15

Say we did revoke A50. Is that the end of Brexit? Does it just 'go away' as some here have suggested on the past.

It does not go away even with revokation. That's the trouble.

When the country is this divided, Brexit isn't going to go away if we revoke.

Anyone paying attention should have noted that some leavers have been at this for 30 years. They don't go away until there is a clear broadly based majority, over our membership of the EU or our lack of membership.

So according to the GDPR thing, every small business that deals with EU citizens, eg a small hotel or an AirBnb owner, needs to appoint an EU company as its representative within the EU, to receive GDPR complaints.
