From the BBC news website, photo of today's Fail cover. Obvs am not going to The Fail website to find out what Little Englander John says, but the photo's pretty damning!

When did The Fail cast Rich-Smugg out into the wilderness, and why?

What on earth was Jacob Rees-Mogg doing slumped across the front bench like Lord Snooty after a long lunch? Hardly a good look for a self-proclaimed traditionalist, who prides himself on having impeccable manners, let alone the Leader of the House

Thats what they said about JRM.

Miljah · 05/09/2019 12:23

But I'm amazed that they're 'dissing' JRM at all! Isn't he an arch-Leaver? Weren't they championing him not so long ago? Or have I got that wrong?

Nope i think you’re right

I think its the hypocrisy they are annoyed by

I certainly would be!

They can see which way the wind is blowing.

Post Dacre shift? Littlejohn writes his Phil Space nonsense trenchant columns within expected editorial guidelines, doesn't he?

Mogg was just trying to be more 19th century. That's how the gilded youths of the house of Commons disported themselves back in the day. Somehow this expression of fathomless entitlement and class dominance played better 200 years ago.

All the papers have been rattled by Dominic Cummings attack on the Telegraph. They're all making subtle (and not so subtle) reminders about who holds the real power in UK politics. Especially with an election looming ("It was the Sun wot won it").

Interesting! I also avoid the Torygraph- what did Cummings say?

It was reported on a thread somewhere here (my google-fu is weak at the moment). He was very unhappy about something they'd printed and gave the editor a full hairdryer treatment down the phone. No cite, so it might all be pixie dust. Pretty certain it was mentioned in the Scottish court case.

Daily Wail has published quite a few critical articles about Brexit, actually. After "Enemies of the People" Wail has retreated quite a bit.
