... in the very near vicinity of "Tommy Robinson" and similar wherever they campaign?

Asking for a friend.

Yes. It’s battery. I doubt you’d be prosecuted though.

HappyHammy · 20/05/2019 20:45

What do you and your friend think about hurling milk at people, do you think it's funny.

AllTheBoysToTheYard · 20/05/2019 20:46

I'm not talking about throwing the milkshakes. Or inciting other people to throw the milkshakes. Just standing there giving them away.

You’re promoting violence? Hmm
You think it’s funny?

If I was law enforcement I’d certainly turn a blind eye

AllTheBoysToTheYard · 20/05/2019 20:48

Oops, double post.

Do you advocate anyone throwing things at people they disagree with politically? Or just people throwing things at people you disagree with?

HappyHammy · 20/05/2019 20:50

Bit goady giving away free milkshake, what's the point other than to take the piss or to subtly encourage people to throw them at people. Why milkshake?

NoYo · 20/05/2019 20:50

I hope Nigel Farage presses charges against the idiot today.
Totally unacceptable behaviour regardless of your political viewpoint.

AllTheBoysToTheYard · 20/05/2019 20:52

To be fair, yes, HappyHammy, I do think that hurling milk at certain people in certain situations can be quite funny. But I don't think I would usually do it myself.

OP posts:
HappyHammy · 20/05/2019 20:54

It's not funny.

AllTheBoysToTheYard · 20/05/2019 21:02

It is a tiny bit funny sometimes. It's a terribly British form of protest, I think.

Anyway, I'm getting that many people disapprove morally. How about the legal position? Just out of interest.

Just checked - the guy who threw eggs at Jeremy Corbyn was jailed for 28 days.

1tisILeClerc · 20/05/2019 21:14

Well Farages 'security' wasn't up to much and given that there was a possibility of violence it is beginning to look like a 'set up'.

jasjas1973 · 20/05/2019 21:14

It's not funny

Sorry but it really is.

Just seen the footage on FB and i was in stitches, was pee'ing myself reading the comments.

The man is a racist and has helped cause division and growth in the far right that has led the death of an MP and others threatened with rape and murder.

This isn't a debate about state ownership V privatisation.

MockerstheFeManist · 20/05/2019 21:15

Not funny. How does anyone know it's milk when the harmless protester rushes forward. We've had one MP murdered, one plot to murder another foiled and one stabbed in his office a while ago.

1tisILeClerc · 20/05/2019 21:16

The problem with using a 'playbook' to orchestrate your campaigns is that other people read them too.

1tisILeClerc · 20/05/2019 21:18

Projectile vomiting is funny, can I have my baby arrested?

Tanith · 20/05/2019 23:07

The harmless protester didn't rush forward, did he? He stood there while NF walked straight towards him.

Is it okay to assault people as long as you do it when they approach you?

Anyone supporting this, do they think NF or TR throwing a milkshake over their attacker would be okay? Or are they saying some people should not have basic human rights and the protection of the law?

1tisILeClerc · 21/05/2019 07:58

Apparently Farage was going to 'press charges', so maybe we should wait and find out what comes from that. I for one am sceptical that it was not an orchestrated 'attack' by Farage himself. The fact that 'security' was so lax for example.
A 'real' attack would be something like the one in Hull on Oswald Moseley, where bricks and potatoes with razor blades were thrown.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/05/2019 07:59

This has been happening for years and not as much fuss is made

Was anyone on here when the Prescott thing went down...as far as i can remember from the media it was just the punching that was made a big deal of

ReleaseTheBats · 21/05/2019 08:17

I disagree. Whether people think it is okay to chuck things at politicians is well worth discussing, whether the police take these attacks seriously or not.

Btw plenty of people on Twitter are already encouraging the next step - acid, stones etc against right-wing politicians.

1tisILeClerc · 21/05/2019 08:35

{Btw plenty of people on Twitter are already encouraging the next step - acid, stones etc against right-wing politicians.}

Then it is your duty to report this to the police and make them aware.
