Enjoying a —bottle— glass of wine Wine at the bar tonight and wondering what the “we won, you lost” customers are making of the current shambolic state of affairs?

They won and now everyone's lost.

Stilltalkstotrees · 09/04/2019 21:59

I can’t believe we’ve wasted three plus years of our lives on this. Pass me a glass Wine

MayhemNowCertain · 10/04/2019 01:06

Shambles is not attributable to the result of the referendum. It is poor implementation by government as many MP's want to remain and ignore the vote.

TangyToms · 10/04/2019 01:10

Chin chin Wine

Apileofballyhoo · 10/04/2019 01:31

Why would MPs think it's better to remain if being in the EU is so crap?

lucyinthefry · 10/04/2019 07:47

Apileofballyhoo. Why would MPs think it's better to remain if being in the EU is so crap?
Cushy jobs with massive salaries and pensions for them and their friends and family. The Kinnock effect.

bellinisurge · 10/04/2019 07:48

Here we go again.

lucyinthefry · 10/04/2019 07:51

All this is never going to go away Bellini.

Caucasianchalkcircles · 10/04/2019 07:51

the CBI, the TUC and numerous impartial economic experts too think it will be a disaster too .... oh but they’re all members of the elites Grin

lucyinthefry · 10/04/2019 07:56

Lord Kinnock, a former vice president of the European Commission, who described the Brexit result as "appalling", is estimated to get almost £90,000 a year.

Lord Mandelson, a former trade commissioner who played a central party in the Remain campaign, is estimated to receive around £35,000 a year.

Lord Patten, who served in the European Commission from 2000 to 2004, is believed to get close to £40,000 a year. That is for 4 years work!!!

Good job honest types like JRM and BoJo and Nige are there to guide us by example.

Most MPs & ex Govt ministers will go into the 'city and directorships and "consultancies" they don't go to Brussels.

DDavis has earnt almost 100k on top of his salary, since quitting his role as brexit minister, BJ was given 10k before his JCB speech, its been going on for decades, across all parties and govts.

Pretending this is a remainer issues is disingenuous at best.

bellinisurge · 10/04/2019 08:20

@jasjas1973 , you are forgetting that you can exploit your situation off the back of ordinary people's votes for your personal benefit ONLY IF you are of the true faith.

jasjas1973 · 10/04/2019 08:58

Its the UK that has stalled its reform & not applied the rules... yet again, UK problems, blamed on the EU.

Peregrina · 10/04/2019 09:17

Peers and MPs who have received millions in EU farm subsidies.

How many of those voted Leave? I hope they will be happy to see their subsidies disappear.

Caucasianchalkcircles · 10/04/2019 09:24

Yes many of those landowning peers voted leaver funnily enough
