I like Toriesbut please tell me if you think I am wrong. I want a good brexit and Theresa May can go.

OP posts:
NotAChanceOfQuiet · 04/04/2019 17:12

Well we can't decide if you are right or wrong just not that information. Why do you like them? What specific policies do you agree with? What do you disagree with (there's always something).
What's your idea of a "good Brexit"?
Who would you like to see replace May?

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/04/2019 17:14

The Tories are self serving narcissists. Labour are no better. There is no good Brexit.

onalongsabbatical · 04/04/2019 17:54

Yup, no good Brexit. Like saying I'd like a nice seasonal snowfall in the middle of a heatwave please. Or I'd like it to be my birthday again the day after my birthday.

Define your 'good Brexit?'

placemats · 04/04/2019 17:57

What's a good Brexit?

I voted to remain. I didn't vote on a compromise.

Tell me what a good brexit means.

OP you may want a good Brexit, but did you vote for a good Brexit?

placemats - I voted leave, I didn't vote on a compromise either.

dreichuplands · 05/04/2019 22:18

I'd like a good Brexit, where is my unicorn 🦄?

Eateneasterchocsalready · 05/04/2019 22:23

Agree op. She's tried. She stood up to the mantle and took on a poison chalice when no one else would. She's served her time and it's now time for A brexiter to lead us through.

Someone whose commited and happy about breixit.how on earth can brexit be a success with people who didn't want it , directing it!!

Like asking Jim royale to run marathon race

How do you measure success.

Funnily enough my DD had successful as one of her spelling words yesterday. We had to define the word too.

Successful was defined as "having achieved fame, wealth, or social status."

Well fame from Brexit- nope more like infamy and being laughed at.

wealth We had been the fifth richest country in the world.

Giving up unrestricted access to a market on our doorstep worth $18.8 trillion of 500 million consumers is a fairly high risk thing to do.

Even the most anti EU politicians don't say we will ascend to 4th,3rd,2nd,1st richest by leaving. So it's not wealth.

That leaves social status. From other countries perspectives we were a leader in the EU. A dominant force. My Polish friend said other smaller members envied our leading position. I think we have less status now not more.

So it doesn't really have the potential to meet any of the success criteria.

twofingerstoEverything · 07/04/2019 15:53

She's served her time and it's now time for A brexiter to lead us through.
Who would you suggest, eaten?
Don't forget, whoever is 'leading' still has to persuade Parliament to support it. Who, in your view, would garner that support?

StoorieHoose · 07/04/2019 15:56

Threads like this make me wish Nicola would announce indyref2

I laugh when anyone says they voted leave and wants a no deal Brexit - did you shite! Even JRM and NF didn't push for a no deal Brexit. You are just deluding yourself

Helmetbymidnight · 07/04/2019 15:57

eh, brexiteers led the negotiations. the brexit secretaries have all been brexiteers.

what did they do wrong?

Tanith · 07/04/2019 17:31

“Let’s have a chat”

Let’s have a think first, shall we? Hmm

MIdgebabe · 07/04/2019 17:36

OK chat then. WHat is it about BREXIT that you think is a good idea? Or, given how the country is split pretty much in half, what would you propose to unite the country??

polarpig · 07/04/2019 20:59

It's too late for there to be any good outcome to all this, it's divided the country too much, made us a laughing stock internationally and changed British politics massively
