MightyAtlantic · 01/04/2019 22:35

General election. Another one.

MrsKCastle · 01/04/2019 22:35

Twattymctwatterson that is spot on.

DailyMailSucksWails · 01/04/2019 22:43

omg wotta marathon this Brexit business is

grumpyyetgorgeous · 01/04/2019 22:45

Can they not hold a vote where “no” isn’t actually an option? Just give them a list of options and get them to rank them from most to least favourite, then go with the most votes, because at the moment we’re trapped by people voting AGAINST everything and not actually in favour of anything.

grumpyyetgorgeous that's fucking genius, I hereby elect you emergency speaker. Table it, quick!

Peterpiperpickedwrong · 01/04/2019 22:49

And here I was wondering how to bring up adding more toilet paper to the shopping list to stuff into the wardrobe. DH will have a fit

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 01/04/2019 22:51

I was just babbling

I second onalong

grumpy for emergency speaker!!!

oreoxoreo · 01/04/2019 22:52

They need to vote again asap, for option with most votes. Actually 2nd referendum got most votes. Doesn't anyone notice it?

Cornishclio · 01/04/2019 22:52

The only thing they seem to be able to agree on is what they don't want to happen.

onalongsabbatical · 01/04/2019 22:53

Ian Blackford is close to triggering an indyref, I think.

ColdFingered · 01/04/2019 22:53

How does the 2nd referendum help, though? If an overwhelming majority voted to remain, that'd be great. But I suspect that wouldn't happen - and Brexit might even win again.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 01/04/2019 22:54

No Deal is going to happen. The EU have just said that it is 'nearly inevitable' after tonight's votes.

Get your loo roll, teabags and beans in.

nuttynutjob · 01/04/2019 22:59

Recession

NoHolidaysforyou · 01/04/2019 23:03

I know it's bad but wouldn't it just be better for them to accept the WA so we can move on? They're never going to agree. People might vote for Brexit again and if it's really bad maybe we can just ask the EU reallllly nicely if they'll have us back?

minou123 · 01/04/2019 23:04

The first thing I said when I saw the votes fail again is "for fucks sake". I'm a ardent remainer, but this is ridiculous. To be honest, I don't think anyone knows what happens next.

Everyone can make assumptions on what will happen next, but I'm thinking the most likely thing to happen is Daenerys will fly in on one of her dragons and conquer us all. Cos that's just as likely as all the other scenarios out there Grin

FusionChefGeoff · 01/04/2019 23:37

Ha ha that was what DH and I came up with.

He looked up from the iPad and caught my eye.....

"Dragons" he said

"That's the only answer now, we need the dragons to sort this shit out"

MajesticWhine · 01/04/2019 23:40

I'm so angry. Why couldn't they just do the decent thing and compromise around one of the soft options. It's just so irresponsible. Ridiculous. And we are all vulnerable to a no deal thanks to this pathetic posturing. AngryAngryAngry

minou123 · 02/04/2019 00:00

Exactly Fusion. Grin

Maybe we should start a 'The dragons will save us' campaign. It's no worse than the government strategy!

MayhemNowCertain · 02/04/2019 01:00

at the moment we’re trapped by people voting AGAINST everything and not actually in favour of anything

That's labour objecting to everything in the hope there will be a General Election.

MayhemNowCertain · 02/04/2019 01:02

Actually 2nd referendum got most votes. Doesn't anyone notice it?

But not a majority. Remainers have been saying since 2016 that the majority does not count as not big enough. Surely same principal must apply to votes by MP's?

Hearhere · 02/04/2019 01:05

I hope they're all enjoying their jolly brinkmanship gamesHmm

MayhemNowCertain · 02/04/2019 01:05

soft options

The soft options are seen as remaining in the EU. Conservatives know they will not be elected again if Brexit does not happen.
