The petition to Revoke Article 50 has passed 6 million this morning. If you haven’t signed and care about your children’s futures please sign here petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584
Your children will thank you for not stripping their rights to live, love, work and travel without boundaries in 27 European countries.

The rate of signing has jumped dramatically since it hit six million, showing the importance of exposure. At the moment it's 47 a minute, it has been as high as 53, and before it got to six mill it was hovering around 6-12 for a couple of days. 45 upwards is more like where it was the beginning of last week. All of which would indicate that there are actually still people who are not aware of it and the slowdown is not due to running out of people but due to exposure dipping. So sign it, share it, keep it going. Thank you. Clicky link to the stats, from which you can find out lots of things, and also click through to the petition itself. www.livefrombrexit.com/petitions/241584?fbclid=IwAR3rC5iVwGzhvRfmzn_mzk94eKYNkYJNV1Y4TJRHdhAku9i58DhpCZUZqTE#

No thanks don’t do emotional blackmail. If you love your children indeed.

Jeanuk1953 · 31/03/2019 13:19

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤞I think revoking is the only option is especially now the Leave campaign have admitted they won by fraudulent means, let alone all the lies.

most people care about their children, remainers and leavers, they just have a different opinion about how to achieve that.

Coppersulphate · 31/03/2019 18:21

I love my children and voted leave for the sake of their future.
PS, they will still be able to travel to France.

Josiebloggs · 31/03/2019 18:36

No sorry I voted leave because I hate my kids and don't like foreign holidays Confused

ScafellPoke · 31/03/2019 21:21

My family and I were planning on sailing around the med for a year, we can’t do that now Sad

Jeanuk1953 · 31/03/2019 21:37

Well you could but you’ll probably need visas! But let’s hooe this damaging farce is stopped, that’s my hope anyway. It would be so easy for Maybot to say that due to the admitted fraud by Leave in the referendum campaign that it is void (which would be the case anyway if the referendum had been mandatory not advisory). She knows that it was fraudulent but is happy to plough ahead with it regardless. What a shambles our political system is now.

Fascinating that Remainers talk about the "lies" but never mention the 500,000 jobs that were going to be lost in the aftermath of the Referendum, if we voted Leave. Or the contraction of the economy that was also going to happen. Or the myriad of other things that weren't going to be a consequence of Brexit itself, but of the Leave vote. I'm not sure if people are deliberately disingenuous on MN, have short memories or are just lacking in critical facilities - but parroting the same inaccuracies again and again doesn't make them magically true Confused

ScafellPoke · 31/03/2019 21:48

I doubt it jean we’d still be working for uk companies remotely. Plus we were hoping to make it permanent eventually

Peregrina · 31/03/2019 21:55

Toyota pulling out, Nissan ceasing production of some models. I suppose those don't count as job loses? We haven't even left yet.

Tell me which firms are rushing in to replace them.

Jeanuk1953 · 31/03/2019 22:10

So no jobs have been lost? Are you serious? Growth isn’t less than it would’ve been? Fascism isn’t on the rise either I suppose? Brexit is and will be a bloody disaster for the United Kingdom, although it won’t be that - Scotland and Northern Ireland will split from us and I wouldn’t blame them. It’ll just be England and Wales - yay! Putin will be just delighted to not only split us from Europe but destroy the Union too.

Ok, so 6m people have signed the petition, including me. However it's almost certainly all remainers who signed it! It's naive to think otherwise! Obviously it won't change things (but it's a good way to show frustration I suppose)

The 'debate' it's triggered is being held tomorrow. In Westminster hall.

Jeanuk1953 · 31/03/2019 22:12

I’m sorry it must be a worry for you but don’t give up hope, I think even if it isn’t halted that it will be a much softer Brexit than what was originally planned by Vote Leave. I still fervently hope it will not happen!

OP posts:
Peregrina · 31/03/2019 22:31

I sincerely hope it's halted and then we can get on with tackling the real problems the country faces. I am not counting any chickens yet.
