captainpantbeard from what I've read/heard on the news a snap general election is a quicker and easier way to guage public opinion than a second referendum.

Hopefully it'll also dislodge the DUP.

Of all the possible ways to gauge public opinion, I would have thought a general election was just about the least effective.

Anyone banging on about how we need a general election right now is not getting my vote. We need a general election like we need a hole in the head.
