Will someone please give the horses some sugar lumps and tell the riders to Stop It, Stop It, Stop It.

Ever inching closer to the abyss. I think the government have given up.

Arse, forgot to add sugar cubes to the stockpile.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/03/2019 22:00

Do horses like peppermint liqueur? I can offer them some of that.

ssd · 12/03/2019 22:14

I can't even raise a smile to this. Sorry. If I drank I'd be hitting the drink by now. As it is I'm just desperate. For independence. Thank god we have that hope in Scotland.

TunaVersesAngelfish · 13/03/2019 06:36

It isn’t supposed to be a humorous thread ssd so don’t feel guilty about not raising a smile.

I wonder if Scotland and Wales will join forces in a bid for independence and leave England and NI to flounder on their own?

My horse would love your peppermint liqueur. But his parentage is Dutch & Irish so he has his own concerns. Have explained to the dogs that they are spaniels not Spanish (though 1 does insist on trying to help me with my Spanish practice) so they are a little bit happier.

I think Scotland is looking for independence on its own. Nicolas sturgeon gave a really good interview on the Scottish news last night criticising the governments handling of brexit, but it wasn't shown in full or widely reported in the national news. I don't think Wales and Scotland can be compared here, we voted to remain and Wales voted to leave. Whether you are pro independence or not, Scotland voted in the majority to remain in the EU and that's being ignored, much like a lot of other issues here.

It's beyond despairing about, I can't believe it's actually happening at all.

ssd · 13/03/2019 08:47

I do feel sorry for England the most, I can see us eventually getting independence and if that happens then eng is condemned to years and years of tory rule. I don't know how Scotland would fare being independent but the alternative of years of the tories is worse, in my eye's.

megletthesecond · 13/03/2019 08:51

Horses like polo mints. I've seen police horses snacking on them.

Do you mean absynth?
Then they might think they're unicorns for real...

Meyrin · 13/03/2019 08:53

From an outsider's perspective we've watched you breed and train the horses yourselves and despite us bringing your attention to the consequences in more ways than can be counted you've insisted that you know what you're doing.

You've been sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "lalalalalalalalala".

I despair Sad

Songsofexperience · 13/03/2019 08:56

But we'll have horses drunk on absynth who take themselves for unicorns. Isn't that amazing?

Songsofexperience · 13/03/2019 08:57

All worth it, all worth it...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/03/2019 12:07

I typed last nights comment in a rather bitter, brittle mood. I can't see a way forward.
