So far Plan A = Plan B. But Merkel has called for the EU to "compromise" tonight so something will change. The backstop is the one and only thing that needs to change for it to scrape through parliament though so that will be interesting.

I don't think it can be plan a again. It can be plan a with some fundamental changes, but just this is it wouldbe be ludicrous.

I don't see how there can be a compromise from the EU on the backstop. It can't be time limited and still do its job.

I don't see what they can come up with. It's a choice between shooting yourself in the head or the foot.

They can’t just vote on the same thing again though can they? I didn’t think the same bill could be voted on unless it had changed fairly significantly.
