Because 'Project Fear' isn't working
And neither is calling people stupid...

I'd put FOM but I don't think that would work...

So I'll start with 0 hours contracts are much rarer/severely restricted in other parts of Europe

How about would you swap your colour HD TV set for a black & white one? That's the brexit proposition.

A broken European continent dragged us into two world wars in defence of our own interests which were threatened. Post war Europe has enjoyed hitherto unknown levels of peace and security between members of the EU. That's why Vladimir Putin is so much in favour of Brexit and anything else that upsets the EU.

In fact, just the notion that Putin and Trump favour Brexit ought to be sounding alarm bells....

Imagine a world where the UK is a financial powerhouse, leading provider in service industries, where it's a leader in sciences and research, one of the most attractive places on earth to invest and create jobs, where unemployment is low. Imagine this whilst keeping our own currency. Imagine lasting peace in Ireland. Imagine goods traveling ceaselessly and without friction from the UK to Europe and back, boosting our economy and industries and giving consumers access to all supplies we need in a matter of hours. Imagine a world where you can travel hassle free from London to the rest of Europe, work and study without cumbersome restrictions. Where holidaying and phoning around 27 other countries is easy as staying at home and just as cheap. Imagine the UK as a major player on the diplomatic scene and a major rule maker in the biggest trading bloc on earth.
Sounds amazing?
Oh yes, that's what we ALREADY HAVE!!!!

Quietrebel I would appoint you as campaign manager!

I'm assuming that on this thread, only the hopes of Remainers count here, am I right? Thanks.

Camomila · 16/01/2019 12:44

I'd be happy to hear if there are any good bits of the EU that leavers/waverers think of too.

After all, not everyone that voted leave was super anti EU...some may well have thought it a close thing and felt like there were some good things about the EU they'd miss.

Not at all. Everyone is entitled to hope for things.
I hope I don't get seriously ill before my time is up and whenever it is I will go peacefully in my sleep.
There may be an issue of turning hope into reality, and I am sure if you could say how leaving the EU can make things better for everyone in the UK we would love to hear what it is.

Missbel · 16/01/2019 12:58

I'd assumed that, since Project Fear was the name the Leave Campaign gave to much of the Remain Campaign message, the OP meant this this to be a thread looking at the positive arguments for remaining in the EU? I'm all in favour of everyone coming up with as many positive reasons for that as they can, regardless of how they voted in 2016! Smile

Camomila · 16/01/2019 13:07

That's exactly what I meant :)
The phrase is from Sadiq Khan
