Woeful unpreparedness for Brexit

Rules of origin are a big deal. After Brexit every item we export to the EU, must be accompanied by paperwork proving where the items were made, in the case of a car for example, this must cover each component. It is complicated but vital, export goods which arrive without the proper documents won't cross the border.

But we are months away from Brexit and it seems only now is the government consulting on this.

The incompetance is breathtaking.

Yup, they only advertised for negotiators for aviation issues (no experience necessary) in June...

It's becoming impossible to believe this whole mess isn't being driven by disaster capitalism. What other explanation is there for this level of apparent incompetence and the utter chaos that will inevitably follow?

Those behind this do not have this country's best interest at heart. I hope they get all they deserve.

More business owners like leaden need to speak out. Most of the general public have their fingers in their ears at the moment.

The word 'traitors' has been bandied about several times during this whole mess but always at the wrong people. Men like Dacre and Rees-Mogg, on the other hand...

It is really quite unbelievable.

We have put more time and thought into running the bank holiday festival in our local park than the government have for Brexit.
