How will a No-Deal Brexit affect you?

NC as I'm giving a lot of personal detail here...

I'm an immigrant to this country, I hold dual Commonwealth + EU citizenship so I don't really have a personal dog in the fight so to speak.

HOWEVER, a no-deal Brexit will impact our family. DH is a banker, he is an FCA "Approved Person" which means he can give financial advice/act as an investment manager/M&A/capital raising in the UK, and by association, the EU. My understanding is, if we leave with no deal, DH will no longer be able to practice in Europe and will have to apply to each individual country to be "approved" to do business there. A lot of DHs business is in Western Europe. Our livelihood is on the line.

I'm curious to know how a no deal Brexit will directly affect you and/or your family.

I'm also fucked off with this Government for being so incompetent. I was actually a little bit excited at the Leave vote (lots of opportunity) but now I'm getting increasingly worried nothing is being put in place for a no deal, except Dominic Raab saying we'll stockpile groceries... Helpful.

Extremely likely i will be unemployed. I work part time, for an independent non essential retailer. He is already panicking, as our sales this Summer are the worst in 22 years, people seem too nervous to spend on big ticket items.. but we need that spend to get us through Winter (seaside town that goes quiet from Nov to March).
I am also a seamstress, selling my work in independent shops and galleries, again a major dip in sales will mean i will not be able to survive financially.
I also worry for my DSs, who are my priorities and work in web design.. I cant see businesses willing to splash out on new websites in a no-deal scenario.

I think Scotland will hold another referendum for independence

How is wanting to stay in the EU independence?

I am worrying about food costs and household bills am only just keeping heads above water any increase is going to mean cutting back .Medication issues as well

Am expecting cost of fruit and vegetables to rise which means eating less of .Will need to look at less healthy options

So as a nation are we storing up more trouble in the future for our NHS

Also fuel costs ds 3 attends a sn school and gets transport provided fuel shortages would mean he may not get to school

On another level lit of the big wheelchair companies are in the EU so can see costs rising /choices of them limited even more than already are

I’m afraid that my mum’s care home will lose its EU staff. I’m afraid that food shortages and increasing prices will eat into her capital too quickly.

I’m afraid that my DH’s essential medication and my friend’s insulin will be unavailable. The idiot Hancock has no robust plan to secure medicines supply.
