In a moment of mindless browsing a scanned the Daily Mail online and came across this story:

Bodies of five African workers from Gambia (Spansih nationals) remain trapped after 15ft high concrete wall holding back tonnes of scrap metal collapsed and crushed them to death at a recycling plant

A wall made up of 1.5-tonne concrete blocks gave way at Birmingham site
Men were sifting through scrap metal next to it when it collapsed onto them
Ten-strong specialist rescue team currently working to recover the bodies
A father-of-seven was amongst the victims, all said to hail from Gambia

Do these racist readers actually wish death on non-white no-Brits in the UK? WTF?!

I have put this under the referendum topic because the incidence of overt racism has reportedly gone up over the last two weeks and I just feel do disgusted.

There was another DM story where apparently an Argentinian born woman (british citizen) asked a guard at Canterbury cathedral for directions and he told her "Dover is this way" pointing to the door.

What is going on?

I've seen a lot of racist and inflammatory comments in recent weeks under articles relating to Brexit and immigration.

It's so sad. When j heard on the radio they were from Gambia however I did feel an added pang of sadness though, I know this story won't get as much "air time" as those poor souls deserve. My DH has worked in similar places as a contractor, it's so frightening that this could have happened. I really hope and pray their race or ethnic it doesn't hinder any investigation/justice.

It's so depressing....
