march for Europe 2nd July MEET UP THREAD

A sub thread from the march thread for MN'ers who want to try and meet up tomorrow to march together.

This really appeals to me especially as I'll have 5 & 8 yo with me.

The march information just says "from Park Lane" which is quite along road.

Shall we arrange a meeting point for 10.45?
How does on the park side of Park Lane opposite the Hilton sound? Too far south? I don't have a clue where on Park Lane they will be meeting/starting from, but I've asked. I guess as we are going to Parliament Square it will the the south end of Park Lane.

What signal shall we have to recognise each other? grin

Sadly I can't make it, I'll be there in spirit though.
That end of Park lane is a great place to meet, but it can get really busy because it will almost certainly be the start of the march end. You might want to think about whether they will be closing both sides of park lane.

yes it could possibly be a bit crazy.

There were several posters on the other thread going with children who were going to hang back a bit.

perhaps we all meet in the Hilton for tea first?
They might not let me in with my "Gove is a Cunt" placard

there is a big bit of green in the middle of Park lane opposite Hilton - I guess people will be gathering there.

One thing I did learn on a previous mn March meet up, is not to get boxed in with low barriers at the start. Everyone with pushchairs got stuck and there was a lot of lifting over little hedges.
