So, May declared this morning for the leadership race fully confidant Boris is her main rival, so used her speech to attack him.

Gove then declares to run, issueing a declaration that is utterly intune with the leave camps sentiments and full of fighting talk (shame his pic doesnt match up). He shafts Boris.

Boris withdraws from the race.

Lots of door slamming currently going on round westminster and shouts of "who the fuck knows whats going on???!!!!"

The labour farce is about to kick off again in the next hour, and in the meantime that fabulous petition is still slowly climbing.

Brilliant! The referendum bomb that just keeps on giving Smile

Update: In the meantime the BBC decided to remind the country today (clearly a slow news day for them) what class box you need to get back in

Its looking increasingly that the Labour party have bottled it today. Its all getting too much and a lie down in a dark room is needed. Anticipated leadership declarations are being talked down. Shame, had potential to be a quite historic day.

As it stands, JCs bumbling along doing what JC does today, offending everyone, (some little misunderstanding at an anti-semitism seminar) but holding on with the backing of the unions.
Sturgeon is in utter denial as to what is going on in Brussels, and is still in BrusselsHmm.

Just one huge issue for the Labour Party that they cant stop the clock on, the Chilcot Report. July 6th is now looming. JC committed to press for a war crimes trial. How will they get him out??

Oh well.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch that is the Tea Room, Dilys is rethinking the wisdom of her 2013 cunning trick to substitute the cranberry tea with Pernod and black.
