Sat watching Theresa Mays speech. Wow, to say I am impressed is an understatement. What does everybody else think?

I agree, her digs at Boris were clear and she seemed to speak sense. I am no Tory but she seems a bit more level headed and will reach out to the Remainers too. interesting times.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 30/06/2016 10:14

I think she is the best choice now, I was undecided, but she is clear, concise, reassuring and intelligent. No gimmicks, just plain facts. This is what we need.

I agree too Op - think she's definitely the best choice.

sw15mum · 30/06/2016 10:16

Agree as well- go Theresa!

Cjamm · 30/06/2016 10:23

If the choice is between her, Gove or Boris. I'll take her over dumb & dumber.

IpanemaChica · 30/06/2016 10:26

😂😂😂

I think Theresa could be perfect but I'm concerned that Gove running could split her vote.

I'm also not convinced in the slightest that any of them are going to give us the general election we want.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 30/06/2016 10:41

I dont want a general election playduh I happen to agree with May that it will just introduce further instability and give UKIP a shoe in at the expense of Labours current ridiculous pantomime. I think the country needs time to adjust without further disruption IMHO...

OP posts:
RortyCrankle · 30/06/2016 14:05

She does nothing for me, I hope Gove wins.

Thefuturecouldbebright · 30/06/2016 14:07

Gove? 😱😱😱 God, I hope not!

OP posts:
Oibeer · 30/06/2016 14:15

Yes, she was frick** great.
Clever choice of outfit, nice speaking voice, comes across really well (not shady like Boris of Gove) and ...... the daughter of a vicar. We know of one other powerful female politicians who is the daughter of a vicar.

Go Ms May!

RiverTam · 30/06/2016 14:23

She certainly does come across well and that is important in modern politics. But I think she is utterly heartless, she is very against any kind of human rights act which I find completely unforgivable and very stupidly she stopped foreign students staying here after graduating, which was preposterous and makes me question her judgement. Also I understand that she has had a real clash of interests in that she is in charge of the police but her husband is a director of G4S who have benefitted from her 'privatisation' of parts of the police force.

I think life for a lot of people would get even worse under her.

Yay!

Iron Lady 2: Electric Boogaloo

😣

chilledmonday · 30/06/2016 14:24

Yes I am supporting Teresa May. She speaks like a PM, has loads of experience negotiating in Europe and isn't Gove!!!
I have a feeling that Sarah Vine is (the only one) backing her husband on MN today!!

RortyCrankle · 30/06/2016 14:27

And me chilled

Oibeer · 30/06/2016 14:32

Grin chilled

CowVersusMouse · 30/06/2016 14:32

Not a fan but she's so much better than gove.

LittleLionMansMummy · 30/06/2016 14:34

If most normal members of the public (including me) want it to be May, I'm willing to bet that it won't be her....

It'll be whoever the Sun comes out in support of.

Oibeer · 30/06/2016 14:34

Why is the DF seemingly endorsing TM? Confused

Oibeer · 30/06/2016 14:35

x post little & the DF.

Oibeer · 30/06/2016 14:35

so sick of these right wing 'papers'

chilledmonday · 30/06/2016 14:38

Surely it won't be Gove! He has outed himself as a toxic backstabber. He shafted DC by supporting Boris and then shafted Boris by declaring to be running in the leadership contest. Such Machiavellian tendencies must not be rewarded!

LittleLionMansMummy · 30/06/2016 14:40

I reckon the Sun will support Gove or Fox. Anyone know yet?
