Would we be here at all if ......We'd supported Ireland in their rejection of the Lisbon treaty?

I know, we weren't given any choice at that time (Brown sneaking around, signing it hours after everyone else, refusing to be in parliament when it was debated etc) but really, the Irish were told to vote again and the second time with 'you have no alternative but to accept' ringing in their ears.
In which referendum did the Irish people speak, the 1st or the 2nd?
