I knew this was coming, is it really a surprise? Years of anti EU sentiment in the national press, with governments happy to allow the EU to take the flack for what has been largely government decisions. Mass immigration from people prepared to work for very low wages, settling in large numbers in areas which are not resourced to cope. People feel poor and are told the only answer is more austerity and uncertainty. Then decide to run a referendum in the midst of all this desperation and with only a few feeble weeks try to tell us actually the EU is a good thing after all. After being silent on the issue for years.
This government have a lot to answer for.
