Did you not get a voting card?

WatchMeSoar · 22/06/2016 23:10

Did you vote in the general election? If so , according to the government website, you will be registered to vote.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 22/06/2016 23:10

I think you as long you're on the electoral register you can vote - you don't need a voting card though they might ask for proof of identity.

HitShappens · 22/06/2016 23:10

No. I dont think so ive moved house recently though

Are you sure you are on the electoral roll? I'm pretty sure they update it a few times a year not just when you apply IYSWIM? So they put a bunch of people through in batches in say April and Sept or something.

HitShappens · 22/06/2016 23:16

Yeah isym im not sure then! Ffs. Ill give them a ring tomorrow ive been so busy and ive been sure i could vote and now im having a wobble

As far as I know, yes, I am in the same boat, I haven't received a polling card but if you voted in the GE, you will be on the electoral register. PP made a good point, take ID.

HitShappens · 23/06/2016 02:10

Thanks WatchMe. Yes I will take ID good point.

Have you moved house since the general election? You have to register again after you move - even if it's within the same constituency.

You might be able to vote at your old address?
