And BBC reporting that big business is weighing in.

BT has written to all employees setting out the case to leave.

Their talking head on Breakfast seems to be saying that this is based on the widely held view that there will be a period of economic uncertainty if the vote is Leave. He's not very convincing.

I agree it isn't convincing. The government-backed interventions, speeches and letters by prominent figures haven't exactly been spontaneous!

In my local constituency they have started opening the postal vote. They have said it is, by a huge amount the most postal votes they have ever had for reason in this LA area. Hopefully this means a high turn out for the referendum overall.

Even if the vote doesn't go thr way I want it has got people engaged with politics and I hope more people will start to vote or vote once again in local and general electionions

I meant I found the specific interviewee and the way he was talking to be unconvincing. OK, short interview but it struck me as blatant cherry-picking.

Are they actually allowed to start opening postal votes this early?

Well, I was talking for somebody who works for the local authority in this respect. So I assume yes. It makes sense, rather than waiting and doing it on the day when all the other ballots come in.
