I want in because I am a lawyer and I would have to learn lots of new laws if we left

My mum wants out because she likes to get one over on me

Worried about even more reduced funding to dcs state school if we leave and there is a huge recession going on years

Millyonthefloss · 13/06/2016 13:39

I want our business to be able to sell stuff in the US more easily. Because it's a much better market than the EU. When it comes to trade, I would rather the negotiations were done by someone in the British Govt (like Andrea Leadsom) that I can actually talk to and who has British interests at heart - not a vast nameless committee of EU people that I neither know nor trust.

MrsBlackthorn · 13/06/2016 13:43

I'm voting In because I don't want to lose my job - which is quite likely if we Brexit as I work for an international company - and I don't want the people I work with to lose theirs either.

OneArt · 13/06/2016 13:43

My selfish reason for wanting to stay in is that my brother and SIL want to move to live in France in a few years' time. Also (less selfishly) I think my workplace (a university) will be severely adversely affected if we leave.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 13/06/2016 13:45

In because MIL is likely to lose her Swiss pension if we leave.

lavenderdoilly · 13/06/2016 13:47

Family member's business will go bump if we leave.

whydidhesaythat · 13/06/2016 14:28

just realised husband might get deported or find it hard to get uk citizenship

(took my 10 year old to point that out over breakfast)

maybe have got my worrying priorities wrong

MackerelOfFact · 13/06/2016 14:34

In because I like buying stuff from the 'world foods' aisle in the supermarket that exists to cater to the tastes of our immigrant friends.

Mumaontheedge1 · 13/06/2016 14:40

I wrote a blog post recently on how I chose to vote IN.
Basically I don't want my kids growing up in another recession, I don't want to risk my partner loosing his job, I don't want to have hassle when we go on holiday this summer- either from a crap exchange rate, or reciprocal healthcare etc. Here's the link if you want to have a look-

I can't vote because I am not English, although I live here, work and pay taxes. 8 years now. The thought of a no makes me feel very unwelcome. I hate seeing the No posters where I live.

aginghippy · 13/06/2016 15:14

My job is likely to disappear if we leave.

I also agree with Mackerel about the world foods aisle. Especially those Polish sweet buns - yum.

Same here. Makes me paranoid that the otherwise friendly, open, tolerant people I encounter every day are secret Brexiters.

mrsseed · 13/06/2016 15:30

Because I don't want to have to go through a full customs border when I go to visit relatives in Northern Ireland from mainland UK. That's where they have said the main customs border will have to be for Europe in Ireland, instead of the border between the republic and N. Ireland as putting back that border would set the peace process back 20 years. (I guess that's where you are talking about Treaclesoda)

unexpsoc · 13/06/2016 15:40

Because the market sentiment this has caused has already cost me £2,000 in the last 2 weeks, and I dare not even ask for an updated statement for my Defined Contribution pension.

I fancy retiring to Spain :).

Millyonthefloss · 13/06/2016 22:35

Makes me paranoid that the otherwise friendly, open, tolerant people I encounter every day are secret Brexiters. Please don't think like that. In the unlikely event that we do Leave, nobody that is here will have to leave - all are welcome to stay and entitled to stay. Not all Leave voters are motivated by immigration. For most it is about sovereignty and issues with the way the EU is run. And even those who think the country is full up can appreciate the people who are already here. My DH is E European as are some of my colleagues and I am voting Leave.

crazycatguy · 13/06/2016 22:38

I'm voting in because I'd like to see the back of Farage, BoJo and Gove (and I'm a Tory).

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 13/06/2016 22:39

I am voting out as I believe the growing gap between wealthy and poor will just continue growing in the system we are in

So working in mh services and doing a job which I believe is good for society I would like to earn a better wage

flibbidygibbet · 13/06/2016 22:43

I'm voting Remain because I want my kids to paddle in cleaning seas not the raw sewage that I did.

Also for dh's brittle asthma I'm a Remainer because of the Air Quality Directives.

Oh and I want to keep my job.

flibbidygibbet · 13/06/2016 22:44

One more

It boils my piss that racist xenophobic Farage's wet dreams will come true if we leave

Just5minswithDacre · 13/06/2016 22:47

I am thinking about voting stay just to annoy the French

Grin That's quite tempting.

Don't be daft. Nobody's going to adopt his immigration policy whatever happens.

Justchanged · 13/06/2016 22:50

I'm voting in as I'm afraid of the public spending cuts to my kids' schools when the post Brexit recession comes. I have no faith that Johnson, Farage and all will protect public services.
