my ma insists on using the tumble drier to dry all the hand knitted woolens so they do not go out of shape surly there must be a way to dry them without tumble drier and them not go out of shape at all she wil lquite literally kill me if any of her tops go out of shape but am sick to death of her using teh tumble drier

I dry them flat - usually on a folded-up airer balanced precariously across the bath, but you can get ones which are designed for it which would be a better idea

what if u have got a few of them to dry i have a argument with her at least once a week cos she will only wash them seperate but won't wait till we have got enough to do one load so when they do get washed we have got bout 4 or 5 of them

I wait till I have a load's worth then lay them about the house to dry. Some flat on a towel, some over a chair or whatever.

I tend to handwash them then do a quick spin, so I'm mostly just doing one at a time.

On an airer.
