Micro loans for women

Does anyone here fund micro loans? Which organisation do you use? How do you know how much of your money goes to the woman? Any recommendations or thoughts please.

I do via Kiva. You can specifically choose women. Kiva gets top rating from Charity Navigator as well. I’ve been doing it for 15 years - I reload when I get repaid and sometimes add more money. In total so far I’ve made 170 loans! It’s very satisfying.

I’ve done it in the past, everything was always repaid too, I only stopped because the scheme started getting more aggressive about donating to them for running costs etc (which I do understand exist but the tone was very harsh and i could see their salaries on the charity commission reports which I thought were high, I work for a non profit!)

Yes we use Kiva. It’s fab. Easy to use and you can filter for the options you want.
