Washable sanitary pads - icky / not icky?

While surfing sites for washable nappies I keep coming across washable sanitary towels.

I am interested, but wonder if they are really any good.

Can anyone recommend any?

I have considered a mooncup, but not convinced about that either...

Only tampons dry your insides out, cups don't, because they don't absorb.

I know it doesn't absorb normal moisture but what about when you come? Does that not come from the same place as your period and there for the cup will collect it? Although could be very wrong as my knowledge biology isn't very up to date.

Don't know! I assumed that orgasm fluid came from the vaginal walls and not the uterus, but I may be wrong.

I've never looked!

hmm me either but assumed it must come out of some sort of hole. i guess we should really know this as women

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will put us straight.
