Just as it says in the title.

Oh and a good conditioner bar.

Would be nice now to eliminate some plastic.

I tried a Gruum shampoo bar for the first time recently and love it. I’ll definitely keep using it. Haven’t tried the conditioner yet as I have quite a bit of bottled conditioner to use up.

Grüm bar shampoo suds well but is a little more drying than my usual bottled shampoo.

Grüm conditioner makes me smell like a Thai curry. (I’m guessing coconut and lemongrass) I hate it. I’m still trying to find a good bar conditioner that’s unscented.

Grum.

Grüum are my favourite

Hi @LenaLamont both Friendly Soap and The Natural Spa do unscented shampoo and conditioner bars. 🙂

@SoapCollector thank you!
I take the shampoo and conditioner bars to the leisure centre pool with me twice a week. I’m now associating chlorine with Thai curry, so if I ever want to eat Thai food again, I’d better swap to an unscented one immediately 😂

@LenaLamont That made me laugh 😂. I'm using the exact same Gruum bars at the moment so I know what you mean about the Thai curry like smell of the conditioner, I just couldn't identify the smell until you mentioned in it! On the plus side it sounds like your local leisure centre pool smells better than my local pool!

I use both Friendly and Alphy and Becs. I find both are great on my hair - I don't need conditioner with them but Friendly do make one. They are both reasonably priced and available from Amazon if nowhere locally has them.

I like the cheap ones on home bargains /B+M (75p/£1ish) xlp or something similar come in three scents all are nice ( I also use these to wash my dogs! They have the same ingredients as the "eco dog shampoo bars" that cost £8!) or I like gruum ,but don't rate the shower wash bars ( tired it, it didn't last a month)
I find I don't need to wash my hair as often with shampoo bars

I have tried several companies and like both the funky soap shampoo bars and those from ethique and the lavender geranium one from faith in nature.

I’ve been sucked in by the Kitsch advertising on Facebook, but no one has mentioned them here so I’m not sure whether to avoid that and try Grum

I love the soap nut shampoo bars made by soapnuts.co.uk . I believe I’m right in saying that soap nuts, all the equivalent before soap nuts were imported, is used by the embroidery guild to wash antique embroidery.

As I recall, horse chestnuts and separate area plants have saponins that were used for washing, but that’s by the by.

I've tried a few shampoo bars - garnier, gruum, etc, but the best was the 99p one from home bargains, the coconut to be specific. Froths up better than any of the others and smells lovely.

I haven't had much luck with conditioner ones though.
