Anyone know where I can get rid of a broken chrome book? Don't want to bin it in case there is info in there I can't get back. l just want to give it to a place which will dispose of it correctly

Curry's website says they will take old tech for recycling and give you a fiver voucher. If it's only a fiver, I would expect them to take broken stuff.

Thanks @BlueChampagne, I think I read about that - isn't it just for trading in? There's nothing I want to buy!

I don't know - I haven't used it myself. You'll have to ask. Otherwise, if it's fixable, it might be worth offering on Freecycle?

I sell it on eBay, as spares or repair, setting out very clearly what's wrong with it. There're amazing people around who mend stuff for re-use.
