Good morning. Just wondering if anyone has tried soap flakes as a laundry detergent? They read as totally natural and very economical. Sounds too good to be true so I’m suspicious! I normally use laundry liquid. Are flakes messy and difficult?

They used to be standard for washing wool. I'd be wary about using them in the machine on anything other than a wool cycle, for fear of bubbles.

No bubbles . Probably 4p a wash . I make up a litre at a time with an essential oil of your choice , 3/5 20ml scoops in each wash . Never looked back . Cleans and i mean clean . Somethings I use smol bio ie cricket whites with a scrub of savon de marvelled block soap . No build up or nasty smells on laundry
