Eco alternative to Post-IT notes

Hi,
I am looking for some eco options to Post-IT notes. Secondary school DD is coming up to GCSE and uses these a lot.
I am told they cannot be recycled along with the green bin so I would like to explore an eco alternative if anyone has used them before?

Oh noes! I've been sticking them in the recycling or putting them in my compost heap as if they were paper. And I shouldn't have been all along

And I love post it notes.

Maybe could use paper with paper clips instead of sticking post it notes to documents. Or maybe a notice board where you can shuffle round cards instead of sticking notes to a wall.

Big magnetic board and normal paper?
