Interdental brushes

My dentist wants me to use these regularly after lockdown and a pregnancy left my gums in a bad way.

I found bamboo versions and was optimistic but they're rubbish and break after one use.

Any alternatives I could try?

Is floss not an option? My dentist rates it above interdental brushes, though I realise it’s a pain to use.

The ones we use are plastic, get them in Tesco (other supermarkets are available) but they don't always have the size we use so often just get a supply from Amazon.

Thanks @fretnot
I'd prefer floss but it's for my very back, top teeth which are impossible to floss.

Thanks @BigFatLiar
I'm trying to avoid the plastic, they are better I agree.

Interdental brushes are much better than floss I've found. Give them a try. Floss can be awful when it splits and/or gets stuck between teeth.

This troubles me too - I have braces and need the interdental brushes. It’s easy to get through a lot! I think all we can do is get the ones that fit the gap well and last (teepee are good for a couple of weeks); plus use them only where/when they are needed over and above floss.
My flossing skills have improved a LOT with practise btw - though I have a few new mouth wrinkles as a result of reaching those back teeth!

Maybe I'll try a bit of both to reduce the amount of brushes I use.
What floss do you use @fretnot ?

@TomRipley I am nor sure what brand of bamboo ones you have tried, but I have been using the "humble" brand which I found in Boots (its a larger store), and they haven't broken on me yet!

I've had recycled plastic ones from wilko before

I use a Waterpik and it is amazing

I use the teepee but just wash it well between uses
