Razors

I'm on the verge of using up all my disposable razors and I'm looking for a reusable replacement. Wish I had done this sooner, I feel guilty thinking about all the plastic handles buried in landfill somewhere but I have no idea where to start.

Any winning products out there I should know about?

TIA

Good old fashion straight razor?

I'm thinking about this too - ideally would like something I can buy locally rather than mail order wrapped in bubble wrap... any specific suggestions?

I was just looking on Amazon at the jagen David razors. Seem to have good reviews.
I'm on the verge of going for it.

Apparently Merkur 23c is the best - found a review/blog and it was rated highly but I can't find it now. Will post it i find the link as it gave tips on how to shave your legs with it.

I had to buy something quickly so went for a £4 Sainsbury's special but at least I can get replaceable blades cheaply and it's less plastic waste but still plastic so not really a win.

I use a Jagen David safety razor I bought off Amazon though. Took a while to get used to but wouldn't go back now. You just have to tilt at the right angle and you get a close shave.

I don't feel guilty about always using a new blade as you literally only change the tiny blade and no plastic. Can t remember the last time a bought blades as you can buy in bulk. So much cheaper and they take up no space.

Nice to have a bathroom which is not full of bright plastic! I've also stopped buying shaving foam as I have a decent bar of soap which works just as well.
