Glass tupperware

Hello everyone, sorry to be so clueless about this but this year I've decided to slowly switch to using glass tupperware from plastic.

I'm really new and clueless about all of this so thought I would post here with my very basic questions.

  1. Can anyone recommend any glass tupperware for food storage as well as taking lunch to work? Is it a lot heavier and problematic re breaking?
  2. Sorry this seems really stupid - but is it possible to freeze food in glass tupperware? I don't actually know if that's possible.

I have it, I don’t use it for work lunches but DP does and has no problem with it.
Yes you can freeze stuff in it, I make whole things like cottage pie in big one and then cook straight from frozen. Very handy.
Mine are from Amazon.

Thank you! Sorry to be dense so there's no issues with the glass cracking or anything like that in the freezer?

Isn’t it made of the same stuff as Pyrex? If so it will be completely fine in the freezer (and microwave and oven - bonus!)

Gosh what is pyrex?! Confused

It’s mega tough glass (I think it started out for lab equipment but has been made as strong kitchen ware for decades) and you can get stuff like this www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0007VGT98/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ref=plSrch&keywords=lidded+pyrex+dishes&dpPl=1&dpID=41vJ4CpEZqL&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1514850934&sr=8-2

Or this would be ideal for taking food to work - m.johnlewis.com/pyrex-glass-square-storage-oven-dish-with-lid-1l/p231768246

Just to add, our local TK Max often have this in. We mace amassed quite a drawer-full over the past year.
