Biodegradable glitter!

A post yesterday about the damage glitter does stopped me buying more for my toddler to spill around the house. I now can’t find the post. Can anyone recommend a place to buy cheap but biodegradable glitter /other craft things for young children to decorate pictures with please ?

Sand is good, and pasta and lentils etc. I know we have a preference for sparkly stuff, but children are often happy with simple stuff, as long as it's interesting.
