Re-using plastic water bottles

We always re-use water bottles, but I noticed today that one of them says "do not refill" on the side. Is this just a ploy to get me to buy more bottled water or is there really a reason why I shouldn't? I have bought LOs their own water bottles, but they always taste plasticky, which is why I buy bottled water then reuse for as long as possible.

I've been tryhing to drink 2 litres of water a day lately and use the same bottle every day, just put britax filtered water in it. Its fine

Try Belu water which comes in bottles made of corn starch - they look just like clear plastic but can be reused safely. They are completely biodegradable and don't cost any more than volvic/evian, etc.

I alway refill water bottles usually with good old fashioned tap water.

I've never seen that one before. I always try to buy ONE water, as the profits go to help projects in Africa, but will try to find some. thanks.

Hi suprise,
I collegue of mine told me not to re-fill plastic water bottles as a study had shown that chemicals start to come out of the plastic into the water and can be carginogenic. She had been refilling bottles for ages and she then started using a purpose made water bottle.
