Renewable energy

I read a report in a newspaper about an energy supplier which guaranteed to match your current supplier (money-wise) but which produced energy from 100% renewable green sources. Rather stupidly I didn't keep a note of the name of the company.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is it \link{http://www.ecotricity.co.uk/\ecotricity}. All the power they produce is from wind farms and they promise to match the price of your local supplier. Smile

was it \link{http://www.ebico.co.uk/\this site}

i saw it on here ages ago on a thread about high electric bills and saved it to look at in detail....

Thanks. I think it might have been Ecotricity. I had it in my mind that it was both gas and electricity, but I suspect it's just electricity. There is another one called Good Energy, which also produces power from 100% renewable sources. They don't promise to match your local supplier and are quite honest that it will probably cost about £4pm more.

Good Energy are 100% renewable and (I believe) is the only company that will buy energy back from you. So if you put up a wind turbine and you have surplus, they'll buy it back.
