recycling question

Hi,

I have just cleared out my office at home and have a truly astonishing amount of cables and other computery/comms bits and bobs that I don't need. I don't want to throw them out, can't see anything on my local council recycling website about them and am not sure what to do next. Anyone got any experience of making use of this sort of stuff or finding it a home?

I think there are various schemes around the country where you can donate all your old cables & school makes a profit on them, sure I read that recently somewhere but you would have to find out if any local schools are involved in such a scheme

At our local tip there is a section for electrical stuff. If you go to the tip the attendants will take it from you.
