38 & unplanned pregnancy

Still in shock, I have two kids who are 7 & 5. We have just moved across the world from UK to Australia. I start a new job next week and we have bought an old house we plan to demolish and build on the land.

We really don’t think we want a 3rd child. Life is full on and busy and we don’t have any support here as our family are all in the UK.

I just can’t help but feel guilty as we have a very nice life and could give a baby a great life too. But the truth is I find being a mum hard and feel like I’m coming out of the other side and getting my life back a bit. My daughter (7) is particularly hard (undiagnosed ASD).

My husband doesn’t want a 3rd but ultimately it’s me who needs to decide. Has anyone not regretted a termination?

In your shoes I would have a TOP and not regret it. Why make you and your husband and your existing kids suffer?

Thank you. We went ahead with a termination and I don’t regret it. It was the right thing for us at the time. I still think about it often and wonder ‘what if’. Still deeply regret being in that situation in the first place but still feel we did the right thing. Thanks for checking in.
