Hello, it’s a long one so I will try and cut it down a little. I was attacked and locked in my house by a “ handy man” I had employed. I was with my young child and he locked us in because I questioned him about material I had paid for (£400) that he was taking from my property also the job was meant to take two days and it’s been two months, I asked him to leave he refused and threatened me, was aggressive and violent towards me in front of my child. I managed to get my child out and to the next door neighbor but the “handyman” refused to give me my house keys which was later retrieved from the police once they came out. I was extremely upset and more so because I couldn’t get my child out and I was so scared he would see me getting attacked or get hurt himself. My “ best friend” hasn’t even seen me or even offered to come down to comfort me. His only a two hour drive away but yet he hasn’t bothered. Am I making this a bigger deal. I have never experienced anything like this before and it took me a good 24 hours to stop crying. I feel he should have offered me comfort, or am I being stupid?
