Do I tell them or not?

I think i would, but then suggest that you get to keep some of the points or be given a voucher for your honesty.

callmewhatever · 03/11/2013 19:04

I personally wouldn't. I'm sure the person who should have got them will call Tesco when they notice the error. Tesco should then add the points to their account. Let Tesco figure out their own error Smile

I like you callmewhatever

(No offence pippop)

So how much is that in cash you get? And what the jiggidy cost over £1k in Tessies?

ChippingInLovesAGoodBang · 03/11/2013 20:15

Crazy - a couple of TV's or laptops etc.

I couldn't do it - to me it's like taking money out of the till. Even though Tesco is a nasty big corporate etc etc I wouldn't take cash out of an open till and to me this is the same thing. Sorry.

QOD · 03/11/2013 20:16

It was Tesco direct and wine or something! I nearly shat me pants and spent 20 mins trying to find my bank statement to see if I had accidentally blown £1035 on wine myself ... Nope.

Probably only £10 ish? I was expecting to have up to £10 so been using sainsbury a lot. Did think it was weird was .£20 so looked on the statement.
Ah well, trip for dd and I to Thorpe park it is then Grin

Of course. Multiple items.

TBH...I would be tempted...but I would give them back.

I am getting vair honest in my old age

Twighlightsparkle · 03/11/2013 20:20

Apparently this is getting more common with tescos.

I would tell, sounds odd but my policy is treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself!

ImperialBlether · 16/11/2013 19:39

How much were the vouchers worth, for that sort of purchase?

QOD · 16/11/2013 22:15

£10 and they've sent me the paper ones

OP posts:
OOAOML · 17/11/2013 14:19

They somehow merged my account with someone else's - when I noticed and called them they credited all the points to my new account and gave me a £10 giftcard.

Tryharder · 26/11/2013 22:59

I'm sure someone who can afford to spend a grand on wine will not fuss about a £10 voucher.

I would keep them. I am aware that this makes me immoral.

QuintessentialShadows · 26/11/2013 23:01

I was going to say exactly the same as TryHarder! Grin

NorthernShores · 26/11/2013 23:01

Don't you have top have the matching club cats when you cash then?

QOD · 27/11/2013 15:13

Que Northern?
I've just been posted the £20 in club card vouchers, I always spend them online on days out
I'll keep schtum

CockyMcChicken · 27/11/2013 15:29

This happened to me. I was credited with 2066 points but they took them back off me Hmm

I wouldn't say anything.

Frontdoorstep · 10/01/2014 21:29

I wouldn't waste time on the phone, potentially being passed from person to person, with no one knowing what to do. They made the mistake, it's nothing to do with you, you could have no idea how many vouchers you are due.

However since you do know it's a mistake, it's up to you whether you actually use them or not!

ThePartyArtist · 13/01/2014 09:20

I never even notice how many loyalty points I have so it'd be feasible for you not to either. If the customer notices Tesco will give them the points without you having to lose yours!
