Accessible beach/pool for elderly parent holiday

Asking here rather than in the holiday topic as it’s specific for elderly parent’s needs.

My mother is mobile, can walk fine unaided and swim/float fine, but struggles with anything more exerting. This means she cannot get in/out of a swimming pool with the usual vertical steps they have as it’s hard for her to lift her own body upwards.

We are looking at holidays and I wonder if anyone has recommendations for holiday locations where there is a nice pool with sloping steps, that can be walked in/out of. And/or, a nice beach where you can walk into the sea, as in, the sea bed is not rocky and doesn’t have unexpected drops.

Anywhere, any budget, just want to get her a lovely holiday relaxing with swimming available and accessible.

I’m disabled (can’t walk far) and have similar requirements.

to clarify - can she do steps (normal in air steps?)

Norfolk has a number of beaches which can be walked into. I’ve swum at Hemsby (sandy slope down to beach) and California (the one in Norfolk not the us) which has steps down.

totally different but I’ve also swum in Windermere - there are easy sloping entrances at a couple of places - I’d recommend this book which is my bible for the Lake District.

i have also been abroad several times for holidays and usually manage to get a swim in - Lake Zurich is very good and there are various “badis” there that have normal type steps into the lake not the vertical ones.

i mostly went to Seebad Enge (about 5 quid for entry and they all speak english).

i went to Lanzarote in January and there were so many beaches to swim from.
i stayed in Costa teguise and playa de las cucharachas was lovely and sloping. Whole area very wheelchair accessible too

Yes she can do steps in general, within reason. It’s particularly the certain style of swimming pool steps she can’t manage. You know the traditional style where there are three or four metal vertical steps and you pull yourself upwards.
And with the sea, the issues is when there’s a sudden drop, or when it’s rocky on the floor, it’s hard to walk in and out steadily.

Forgot to say overseas rather than UK recommendations please. Though Norfolk does sound lovely!

Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi is lovely and has a nice pool you can walk into. It’s usually not too pricey either - we managed to get 2 rooms, all inclusive, for approx 6k in Feb
