My stepdad is unfortunately in a situation where he is having falls due to a medical condition. He’s interested in a your stride watch. Does anybody have any experience of this or anything similar? Thanks.

My Fil uses it.

They ring us if he doesn't cancel the alert. They definitely notice his movements, if they're out of the ordinary.

I think it's pretty ok.

Yes, I’ve posted before - both DMs have them. They work really well.

We chose them because they work anywhere there is a mobile signal, you can talk through the watch (some rely on you being near the base unit to speak to the contact centre - useless!) and they have GPS so if you fall in the street the contact centre know where you are.

Inevitably both DMs have caused false alarms and the call handlers are always so gentle and understanding.

I expect he will cause false alarms too but expect it happens quite regularly! He has had a fall in the street recently so the GPS is ideal. It’s so crappy isn’t it.
