My DM would like to meet other carers in the same situation as her and feels that these type of holidays would be more supportive(especially ones with a door to door service).

I don't know about UK but I know my mum took my dad who had early onset Alzheimer's on a few European river cruises and that worked well as the accommodation was the same all week, the boat was small with free tea and coffee and there was always something to see on the river. I think it was possible to get the Eurostar to one of them.

In contrast, they went to Canada and there were different start times every day and on and off the Train and that was a nightmare

This charity specialises in holidays for people with dementia and their carers, but they don't provide transport between home and destination.
