Hi all, I have POA for my mum however her credit card is now being reported on my credit file. I was not aware that this would happen and have not signed anything to make me joint holder. Can anyone confirm if this is correct please. I pay it each month however this doesn’t sit right with me at all. Thanks

Are you paying it from your account, or from hers ?
it should be from her bank account that you access using the logins for her accounts as POA.

I am PoA for someone who has a credit card and I only access their account in the approved way and never pay anything from my account, only from theirs. There is no change to my credit score at all

I have paid from both as I lost login for hers and didn’t want a late payment. I’ll give them a call, thanks.

You need to sort out the login and do it all through the POA logins. It would never occur to me to pay my relatives bills from my account as that is not me using POA, it is me fudging the accounts.
You need to be super clear, and keep your money seperate. It is hard, but it is a really responsible job and has to be done properly.

Totally get that and in no way was I benefiting, in fact I was losing money.
