I have a friend who neededs some thoughts.

She and her dad wanted to pop round her house but she had just got the baby a sleep, so she replied to her mum that she just got the baby to sleep so her mum replied with, so. She thought why is she saying so, I thought she would understand is she annoyed.

She then went round her mums house and her mum had high blood pressure but it was confirmed that the doctor said it was all fine so she said to her mum oh well maybe the lady got it wrong but her mum thought no one cared. It seemed like she wanted to be ill so she said did u want it to be high and the mum looked back at her and said hahaha very clever answering a question with a question. It made her feel funny and she just wanted to leave.

She does her a lot for her mum and sometimes gets little digs, the baby was crying and the mum said he needs milk dont he and she had just given him lunch and she said she give it in a minute because she didn't want him to he sick when she did give it the mum said bet his just happy to have the milk.

Is she other thinking all of this.

Sorry to hear your friend is feeling stressed.

Not sure if you meant to post on the ‘elderly’ parents board, but in any case, it sounds like nobody is communicating too well.

Maybe she needs to be more up front? So if someone wants to come over, just say ‘not at the minute’ instead of describing what she’s doing.

It’s easy to feel very sensitive about comments by relatives when babies are tiny. They’re probably not meaning to upset her. But if she’s upset, she should say so and maybe take a break.
