Hey,
I'm an only child in my 40s. I lost my dad a year ago after a long illness. My mother is late 70s. Growing up she wasn't particularly maternal. I was fed a meal a day, often either getting told off or being ignored by her. She even left my dad and me when I was 17. I became a bit of a wild child around this time, something the mother likes to chuck at me every now and then. Fast forward to present and I'm receiving gushing memes, reels, photos about how lucky she is to be my mum, how gorgeous I am, how wonderful her daughter is blah blah blah. Anyone who knows me knows it's just not me. Every meme I feel I have to react. I got one last night and have ignored it! Yay me 🤣. She has no friends, or any family. My partners mother has tried to reach out to her, but no. Its all just fake phony claptrap, that's her all over. I was diagnosed with BPD due to childhood emotional trauma. She thinks it brings shame to the family name.

Just either ignore her and don't respond, or block her. She has a cheek, pretending she is mother of the year when she gave you such a neglectful childhood.
