Im looking for a personal fall alarm for my mum, has anyone got the suresafe go watch and would you recommend? She only has slim wrists so don’t want anything too bulky.

We've been using this one. I can check in on where she is etc which is good. We have the "call a relative" option. We've tested all that and it does seem to work but there's obviously a risk that we won't hear it if it goes off. You can have a maximum of 3 people being rung in turn. We've had to make sure we aren't 3 people who are likely to be doing the same thing as each other though.

She has thin wrists and it is okay, but it is also bulky. I understand why people would prefer a watch one, but I think I'd prefer a pendant option having seen both.

We have switched on the automatic fall sensor and it seems potentially too sensitive (though that's on high sensitivity). It gives you 30 seconds to cancel it, which we're going with as better safe than sorry at the moment but she has to cancel it several times a day I think, so we could reduce the sensitivity.

Charge seems to comfortably last a couple of days but not days and days.

Re bulkiness, I would say it's about the size of an apple smart watch, maybe a little bigger. So it's not bulky by many people's standards but I wear a tiny analogue watch so it's much bigger than that. It also doesn't have a screen (which I hadn't clocked), just a couple of buttons, but I don't think that makes it less effective.

@Ineffable23Thats really helpful, thank you so much! Yes, I was looking at the pendant one too, but I wasn’t sure if she could sleep with it on (she’s most likely to fall in the night) The other issue with the watch is that she likes to wear one that tells the time, but she has broken her other wrist after falling, so can’t have both at the moment. So many choices, but definitely prefer one that calls relatives instead of a call centre.
