My 94yr old mum is in a residential home.
she has mild dementia, heart & kidney failure.
she is suffering from panic attacks. She will not get into bed at night due to this & so sleeps in a chair & now her skin is breaking down & she is full of fluid due to her legs being down all the time.
The home can’t make her get in the bed. I have spoken to palliative care who spoke to her GP who sent a mental health worker out but as she is on 20mg of citalopram & has been for years, she said there is nothing use they can give mum due to sedative affect & she goes to the toilet on her own & won’t call the staff .
this is having a detrimental affect on her health & quality of life.
any advice please
