Toenail clippers

I'm looking for some toenail clippers for long quite thick nails. There are quite a few different kinds on Amazon and I'm not sure which ones are any good.

Any recommendations?

DF’s foot specialist uses a rotating sander like those mini drills used for modelling. Also allows her to thin down toenails made thick through fungus.

Probably best to have a podiatrist visit every few weeks.

I was looking for ones with quite a thick handle section, ie wider than the usual thin stupid fold up things that can barely cut through a regular toenail (and tend to try and twist round into folding mode while in use) let alone a thickened one.

Couldn't find anything sufficiently strong. Gave up.

I now take my elderly mother to a podiatrist and she does them. It costs a lot though.

According to my nurse daughter qualified nurses do not cut elderly toe nails as the risk of harm and infection are very high so i second. Podiatrist.

An alternative option to a podiatrist may be a qualified foot health practitioner. Ours charges £28 for a home visit.
