Hi all can anyone assist...I have arthritis in both hips and Limited use of my left arm 20%
I have walking aids and a disability car
I have no option to sell my house due to medical issues ...this will leave me with around £45000 ..I applied for housing due to medical and was turned down for list due to equity medical needs not taken into consideration...this money wouldn't buy anything in area or surrounding areas so will be homeless after sale ...any help or ideas gratefully received

Can you rent privately? What adaptations do you need? Adapted housing for medical needs will only be prioritised if you cannot find adequate housing privately. You can go on the general housing list but you won't be a priority.

Can you contact Shelter organisation, or citizens advice bureau? If you are elderly, contact Age uk. I'm sorry I can't suggest anything more. I hope you manage to find a way through this, and I hope some more people reply...you didn't put a title so you might not get many replies

Is there any other option other than selling your house @Bill1965 ?

Also, how old are you? There may be some places that are created especially for older people (housing schemes etc...)

Could you live downstairs in your house and let the upstairs rooms maybe to someone younger who could give you a bit of help? Don’t do anything without taking advice from social services, Age UK (if appropriate) and arthritis charities.
