Awful Day

I'm so tired and anxious. The responsibilities are never ending and I'm working full time. It's not hands on care but sorting things out. Something needs fixed and then there's something else.

I'm so fed up with battling with health care services (nothing to do with the lovely carers). It seems they think they can talk to carers but not to me. I must sound like an awful angry person most of the time but they do stupid things.

I should have walked away from this years ago. Just wanted to vent

It’s hard isn’t it.
Have you thought of a ‘helping hand’ kind of service, where they do a bit of everything, cleaning, fixing, DIY, gardening, making a cuppa, having a chat…. Just takes the load off a bit.

That sounds really tough. Are you the only child in the family? Is it both parents who need help? How many times a day do the carers come in?

It's really hard work - accept help from wherever it is offered and make sure to take time out for you - you can't pour from an empty pot x
